Number one bedtime book

My grandson loves this book...When it is bedtime...this is the first book he picks. The illustrations are great...he laughs and imitates the characters' facial expressions. He gets a kick out of the ending of the story, but if you want your little one to slowly fall asleep, this ending won't help you! ,

Small print is hard on eyes.

This book is small. While it's great that the words are in both English and Spanish, the print is so small (often on a blue background) that it's difficult for me (w/ grandmother's eyes) to read. After a few reads to a child, I suppose the reader would begin to memorize the words, so over time, the legibility would become less of an issue. This book is probably best purchased in it's original hardback version, but I don't know if the hardback version is available in Spanish. Because children tend to love sing-songy type repetition when read to, this 'this-is-the-house-that-Jack-built' is a worthwhile book to have on the bedtime bookshelf.
