Good resource for common core

This is a good resource. I use it for a vocabulary center. At first I was a little taken aback by how difficult the material was, but the rigor must be upped with common core! With some guidance, this is completely do-able by a 4th grader. My hope is that after a few times I will be able to release the responsibility to them.
The best part of this book is that the words are used in context over and over again, and the words are also presented with more than one meaning. By the end of a unit, students really understand their words. I only wish it had more units. It has 10 units, which will probably last us about a third of the year. I wish it were a full year's work.

Absolutely love this book. I have since purchased 3 other grade levels in this series. Each unit contains such great activities, touching upon vocabulary development, word roots, homonyms, dictionary skills, associations, creative writing, and prefix and suffix meanings. The text passages are appropriate and interesting to my students. Love!
