The Sisters 8 series wraps up with a ninth volume and another sibling for the Huit octuplets. After previously exploring their individual magic gifts and searching for their missing Daddy and Mommy, a model and scientist-inventor, respectively, the girls finally locate them in a snow globe and shrink down to save them with the help of their eight cousins, the Ocho boys. This serves as a greatest-hits version of the previous volumes with the same mysterious narrator giving each girl a chapter or so to shine with her signature skill. I could Count on this author

I loved the book. i had read all the books in the series and i knew i could ccount on the Logsted family to make another promising tale. I was right! I was satisfied with the ending,though I thought that it wasnt the going to be the same with Nine in the family. I hope that the author will write as many books as she ccan about the sisters eight. Also an idea for a book would be that Nine gets kidnapped by there Toadstool Neighbor ( i forgot her name) Other then that it was a great series, a great plotline, and an awesome ending

Breezy, Deadpan Fun

I'm sympathetic with those who feel that the wrap up to this series was a little inane, or at least forced. But, since the entire series has always been feather light, haphazardly plotted, and cheerfully and intentionally unserious, I can't really complain at this point about that. What I've always enjoyed is the cross-talk, the deadpan put downs, and especially the incredibly high energy of the Huit siblings' interactions with each other. The narrator can be arch, snarky or dismissive, but the effect is always one of playful good humor. The tone is never sour or contemptuous, even though there can be some sharp barbs hidden in the narrative. Writing like that is very hard to sustain, and to keep it up for an entire series is pretty remarkable.
So, a happy find, an excellent series, and a refreshing addition to the younger reader's shelf.

The perfect ending

I can't even pretend to be impartial in my review. I've loved this series from the onset, my eldest, now thirteen has likewise, also my youngest, now ten. The series has been wacky, entertaining, funny, clever, and all around tremendous fun from the onset, and this culmination didn't let me down. I still have questions, just enough left over to make speculation amusing, and to get me on board should more books in the series be forthcoming, but if this proves to be the end, I will be content. Thank you, Lauren Baratz-Logsted, Jackie Logsted, and Greg Logsted, for the pleasure of reading these together, as a family. These will be some of my best memories of parenthood, all slathered in pink frosting.
